Deputy Campaign Manager

Managed outreach for the campaign, building a historic coalition of labor, environmental, health, and community organizations. Directed website operations, including filming and editing videos, daily email communications, and blogging. Coordinated day-to-day operations of campaign between communications director, campaign, and campaign consultants.

Volunteer Organizer

Bob Hertzberg for Mayor

Helped manage and coordinate a team of 150 adult and high school volunteers working on various projects including phone banks, canvassing, and staff support. Served as Location Manager for Hertzberg for Mayor political ads. Worked as official liaison between director and political staff during commercial shoots.

Deputy District Director

Assemblymember Lloyd Levine, California Assembly District 40

Promoted to Deputy District Director after a year with the Assemblymember. Assumed duties as acting District Director including supervising a four person staff, coordinating the complete operations of the district office, creating policy, executing press events, and building coalitions in support of legislation.

Represented the Assemblymember with other legislators, government officials, interest groups, community groups, business organizations, and the general public. Identified and prioritized key issues for the Assemblymember to address and recommended decisions, necessary next steps, and policy options.

Performed constituent casework; composed letters, briefing books, position papers, and speeches; organized events; and oversaw press relations. Responsible for issues involving animal welfare, arts & entertainment, business relations, energy, environment, health care, minority outreach, and transportation. Served the Assemblymember as Mobility 21 Transportation liaison, Los Angeles River Revitalization adviser and as the fundraiser for the Assemblymember’s Fit & Fun Challenge.

West Coast Supervisor

CBI Connect – Computer Systems Management

Responsible for all technical support to west coast clients, which included network, database, and consulting issues. Managed and supervised technical support for west coast. Provided logistic support for the 250 clients across the United States.

2002 - 2004

Production Executive

Red Hour Films

Coordinated pre-production, production, and post-production matters with major film studios on all Red Hour and Ben Stiller projects. Managed between 10 and 16 projects at various stages of development and production. Responsible for generating ideas, finding material, and bringing in pitches as possible movie projects. Liaison for Ben Stiller and Red Hour Films for all publicity, including press junkets, movie premieres, and nonprofit events. Managed human resources and all non-creative affairs for the eight person company.
