  • Develop and maintain the website, Connecticut's leading resource for energy information. This website is a joint venture of the Department of Public Utilities and the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund.

  • Assist with events from trade shows to technical seminars (approximately 300 held per year).

  • Worked with website designer and public relations firm to create the website,, to present Tilcon's proposal for a quarry expansion to the community.
  • Redesigned advertisements, marketing materials and website for enhanced corporate image.
  • Planned and executed Tilcon's first TV commercial to promote concrete to the residential market.
  • Compiled and tracked competitor data across product lines to help sales and management determine competitive advantages, market share, and sales forecasts.
  • Implemented and trained 10 sales people in online lead generation for more proactive sales management.

Public Relations:

  • Won three prestigious community relations awards from industry associations, generating local and national press with the acceptance of two of these awards in Washington, D.C.
  • Coordinated and executed successful events and programs including open houses (up to 1,000 in attendance), annual school and organization tours, and company sponsored fundraisers.
  • Led teams for community outreach projects including USA Weekend's 2008 "Make a Difference Day" campaign, where 4,000 books were donated by Tilcon employees to the local community.
