As Buyer for Island Outpost I negotiated manufacturing costs with Latin American vendors (B2B), project managed the Compass Point hotel renovation in the Bahamas and collaborated with engineers to meet deadlines for projects on-site Miami, the Bahamas and Jamaica.
My favorite part of the job at Island consisted of branding the image of Art Deco designer Barbara Hulanicki by creating press kits for media and potential clients. I also supported event details surrounding Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS(DIFFA) and acted as liaison between Hulanicki and Latin press.
Five years after my experience at Island I returned to the University of Miami to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Communication degree majoring in Public Relations and Psychology.
While attending the University I supported the efforts of nonprofit organizations the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Developing Minds Foundation, TREEmendous Miami, The Clinton Global Initiative and the Miami Children's Museum.
After graduation I moved to Los Angeles to consult for small business, providing marketing campaign solutions, branding, web design and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Life Long Pilates optimizations resulted in an increase of 480% in traffic and 591% in unique visitors. Business re-structure procedure implementation increased Neptina's sales revenue $70,000 and click through rate on Neptina's website increased after social media campaign participation in The Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women and Children Charity Design Project in Los Angeles.
