Case Manager II, Domestic Violence Facilitator

Behavioral Interventions

My affiliation with Behavioral Intervention began as a practicum student during my BSW studies.  Within six months, a case manager position became available.  I applied for it, and was hired in January of 2009.  My responsibilities included managing fifty clients through their substance abuse issues, as well as conducting Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) groups and individual case management  I was responsible for conducting a risk needs assessment (LSIR), which determined their risk areas that could encourage them to recidivate.

Within a year, I became involved with the domestic violence team.  I am now a facilitator for the domestic violence offender program, as well as for the anger management groups.

At present time I am a MSW at WSU, and once again I am a practicum student, as well as an employee for Behavioral Intervention.  I expect to have completed my degree in May of 2012.
