About Kirk Fisher, Louisiana

Kirk Fisher currently serves in a variety of professional and educational roles in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. The founder and CEO of a commercial real estate company, Kirk Fisher also teaches MBA courses in management consulting at the Louisiana State University E. J. Ourso College of Business. Additionally, he oversees business operations as vice president and COO of the Plexos Group, which offers consulting, management, and third-party administration services.

He previously served as COO and director of operations at The Advocate, a newspaper with readership in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana. For his leadership, the Newspaper Association of America placed him on its Top 20 Under 40 list. Among other achievements, he led the Advocate’s response to Hurricane Katrina. This included an increased output of 15,000 papers a day and the addition of maps and relief agency directories for evacuees.

Away from the office, he enjoys playing tennis, attending Broadways shows, and traveling throughout Europe and Asia.

His time spent as an executive in residence at the Flores MBA program at Louisiana State University has resulted in the development and launch of the Management Analytics Specialization for MBA program professionals.
