Currently assigned to 302 Airlift Wing Communications Flight as a Cyber Systems Operations specialist on the Joint Incident Site Communications Capability (JISCC) package.

  • Duties include the set-up, configuration and maintenance of a mobile communication command center providing voice and data services to local, state and federal agencies during a time of emergency.
  • Provide Tier I and II help desk support to 302 AW personnel assisting customers with desktop PC issues and questions. Utilize Remedy ticketing system to create and track requests for assistance from Tier III support organization.

Technical Support Manager

Avaya

Provided system administration and application support for the Avaya Global Services Delivery (GSD) user community.

  • Coordinated escalations and routine maintenance for systems and applications used by GSD to provide support to internal and external customers of Avaya. Primary escalation point for issues related to knowledge management software and customer self service web portal. Escalation responsibilities included notification of proper resources in IT division for resolution, oversaw resolution path to ensure timely, accurate and efficient resolution of underlying problem and provided status updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Provided Business Analysis services to users and leadership for new projects and existing systems. These services included assistance collecting requirements, reviewing and providing recommendations to requirements documents, analysis of feasibility of project plans delivered from technical implementers and technical guidance during project execution.
  • Maintained four Windows 2003 servers that provided file, communications and database services to GSD users. Some of the services provided on these servers were:
  • One Ignite Wildfire server that was used for real-time communication between geographically dispersed team members. Administration responsibilities included user and group management, patch maintenance and add-on maintenance.
  • One Adobe Connect server used for remote training and for senior leadership to conduct "all employee" meetings. Configured Connect server to synchronize user and group database with corporate Active Directory for simplified user management and to allow for pass through authentication of users.
  • One Oracle instance used to provide employee scheduling information to the automatic ticketing routing system for GSD. Oracle database also housed data for Oracle Application Server (OAS). Developed applications on OAS to allow project managers to provide dynamic status updates of various projects.
  • One Microsoft SQL Server 2005 instance which provided backend services for one MS Sharepoint server, Adobe Connect Server and a database housing ticket closure metrics used for data mining operations.

  • Responsible for department status reports, annual performance evaluations and equipment and personnel resource management.
  • Primary support for two Windows 2003 servers running MS SQL 2000 database instances.
  • Acted as liaison to external departments (county, state, etc.) for data processing issues.

Key Contributions

  • Developed and implemented action plan to migrate disparate Access 97 databases into SQL Server databases to reduce data redundancy and allow for more streamlined data sharing between departments.
  • Represented 4th Judicial DA's office on project to replace aging statewide criminal database by ensuring local business practices are accurately implemented. Also provided status updates to senior leadership on a regular basis.
  • Designed and implemented a new case tracking database to track the status of felony and juvenile cases within the office, calculate the amount of restitution paid and owed by juvenile offenders and generate monthly statistical report for senior leadership.
