AIC Labs

Supervise the analytical department of an electrochemical research company. Responsible for the researching, evaluating, and approving of purchases of over a quarter million dollars of new equipment. Responsible for the hiring and training of personnel in the Analytical department. Developed a QA/QC program from scratch, to insure the accuracy and documentation of all data. Supervise the personnel in my department to create SOPs for all the tests on all the equipment. Created a computer tracking and reporting system from scratch to allow project managers to access their data from their desktop computers. Recently was responsible for the purchasing, testing, and implementing ofa LIMS system ,as our company needs grew. Equipment in our department is the following: Flame AA, ICP, Microwave Digester, Automatic Titration Apparatus, HPLC, GC, UV-VIS spectroscopy, and Selective Ion Console.

Quality Analyst II


Performed Glucose monitoring of blood samples using YSI 2700 Select instrument. Performed Blood analysis for Triglycerides, Cholesterol, and Glucose using Cholestech LDX machines. Performed Daily Optics check of LDX machines prior to analysis. Performs statistical analysis on test results to disposition products. Performs in-process product and finished product testing using analytical equipment according to SOPs. Prepared documentation on test results, investigations, problems and troubleshooting noting failures using the nonconformance process. Prepared test protocols and complies data for documentation used with test protocol and procedures. Developed and revised SOPs and Standard Working Instructions (SWI) and other process improvement documentation. Reviewed Data and Device History Record for compliance to specifications and reports nonconformance.

Natural Formulas

Performed Quality Control tests on all Vitamins and Nutritional Supplements prior to approval. Sampled all production equipment and analyzed for bacterial and metals contamination. Created and maintained database documenting any contamination and notifying appropriate departments.

Duties included performing digestion and extraction procedures for TCLP, STLC, and Cold Vapor mercury. Responsible for the metals digestion and metals analysis of extracts, waters, and soil samples using AA, ICAP and Cold Vapor Mercury instrumentation. Performed Oil and Grease extraction and analysis. Performed Diesel extractions.
