Khalid Zirvi, M.D., joined the clinical staff of Padder Health Services, LLC, in 2005 and began work at the practice’s newly completed, state-of-the-art Robinwood Heart Center in Hagerstown, Maryland, in 2006. Since the clinic’s opening, Dr. Zirvi has provided compassionate and professional care to numerous patients from the Tri-State area of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Dr. Khalid Zirvi and his colleagues at Robinwood Heart Center remain committed to preventive care and patient education, and their overall goal is to improve the quality of life for all their patients. To this end, Dr. Zirvi offers individuals the administration of such preventive measures as stress tests, which can be used to detect any blockages or abnormalities of the heart and measurement of blood pressure and oxygen levels, allowing for the early detection and diagnosis of a wide range of heart conditions. Dr. Khalid Zirvi also administers Holter monitors and other cardiac event monitors, and he conducts onsite testing such as electrocardiographic (EKG or ECG) tests and stress tests. He is equally skilled in performing cardiac catheterization to treat blood clots. Blood clots have the potential to lead to heart attacks and other serious conditions. Dr. Khalid Zirvi also treats cardiac arrhythmia. Dr. Khalid Zirvi takes a special interest in coronary and peripheral angioplasty, and he possesses board certification in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology. He holds a medical degree from the MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine (since renamed the Drexel University College of Medicine). Following the receipt of his medical degree, Dr. Zirvi completed an internal medicine residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, as well as a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology in the Thomas Jefferson University system’s Lankeneau Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition to treating patients at Robinwood Heart Center, Dr. Khalid Zirvi maintains affiliations with a number of hospitals throughout the Washington D.C. and Baltimore areas, including Howard County General Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine; Laurel Regional Hospital; Washington Adventist Hospital; and Washington County Hospital.
