Remarkable experience with more than four years of experience in the humanitarian and health sector, trained in principles and methods of social science research MSc in International Health. Currently focusing and interested in evaluating impact of external funding on health system strengthening in Somalia. Completed key informant qualitative study on the role of NGOs in Health Service Delivery of Somalia. Honest, dedicated, and passionate about delivering high quality results on time, in the meantime having interest in the Humanitarian assistance, emergency relief and disaster management. Consultant in Health System Strengthening

Hayan Institute of Research Somalia
  • Assist and supervise the direct implementation of nutrition programme, which includes screening, clinical management of severe and moderate acute malnutrition, community mobilization and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF).
  • Responsible for the implementation, management and support of the CMAM programme.
  • Support integration of nutrition services with available health, WASH, psychosocial (PSS) interventions.
  • Line manage and oversees the nutrition staff including recruitment, day-to-day management, development and training, performance management, etc.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive activity plan covering the time frame of the project proposal.
  • Support the health sector by the improvement and further design of the technical sector on approved and appropriate health practices.
  • Oversee all staff based in the health/nutrition project including recruitment, appraisal, management, general well-being, job descriptions, work schedules, discipline etc. in coordination with the Projects Coordinator.
  • Assist in documenting and disseminating project achievements through national meetings, publicizing success stories and presenting findings at district, provincial and national meetings



Monitoring and Evaluation Officer- Maternal and Child Health Program

  • Responsible for measuring, monitoring and evaluating the project implemented by the organization.
  • Ensure consistency in objectives and using success indicators to deliver timely and relevant reports.
  • Supporting the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the organizations' projects and work plans.

  • Follow and monitor program activities in collaboration with the program coordinator and medical coordinator using the logical framework.

Health and Nutrition Officer

  • Contribute to the coordination of all aspects of the Emergency Health Program to meet program.
  • Responsible for the day to day implementation of the mobile teams and health facility component of the program.
  • Provide regular field visits to the supported facilities, communities, community health workers and mobile teams.
  • Provide on the job training to the health facilities staffs on the key project deliverables.
  • Provide direct supervision to Community Health Workers and mobile teams
  • Assisted in the development of detailed Emergency health program plans for the district.
  • Support community health workers during appropriate practical tasks in project implementation.
  • Lead public consultation exercises and facilitate community participation, using a variety of techniques to ensure the involvement of the community.

Program Assistant Coordinator

  • Overview and coordination of program activities including primary health care, outreach, hospital facility and emergency response in collaboration with the program coordinator.
  • Worked in collaboration with the field team to ensure the quality of all medical activities in accordance with the protocol.
  • Participated in writing the project proposal with coordination team.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to the medical heads (medical supervisor, medical assistant supervisor, and facility supervisors.
  • Responsible for capacity building of the field medical staffs as well as human resource management of the project team in the field.

Internship Position as Assistant in National TB and Leprosy Control Program

  • Assisted in conducting research, literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data for the use of the program.
  • Assisted in preparing materials for submission to funding agencies and government.
  • Increase the awareness and knowledge of TB disease by developing effective messages for the general public.
  • Worked closely with prevention unit and accelerated advocacy, communication and social mobilization activities to reach the targets of the program.
  • Represented the program in meetings and activities with multiple TB partners.
