This transmigration of my duties from the previous 20 years' work involves more Writing, Directing and Consultingin addition to running the business. Specifically, I produce/direct content (copy, photography and video) and workwith organizations to get their internal media depts into a well-rounded, smart, efficient and governed work flow. Ialso consult with clients regarding best practices use of new, traditional and social media and how best to implement this into their marketing, CRM and communications strategies.
The business was built on providing turnkey video production and marketing services to the broadcast, corporate, educational sectors. Consistent clients ranged from ABC News to Zegna.
As owner/operator of this business, my primary duties involved working directly with clients' representatives as Producer or Director in many cases; other assignments involved working as part of an existing production team as Director of Photography or Cameraman. Still other scenarios involved editing final picture and consulting with other Directors about how best to execute their story.
While still running my own business, Conder Media Group, Inc., in 2007 I accepted this offer from the RockChurch in San Diego that made sound financial sense as well as an opportunity to help a local church and staff.
To help grow the church's media content and exposure, I Built, Directed, Managed and Lead the 6-person team responsible for creating the Rock's in-service video content for a weekly live-venue audience of ~13,000; also Directed all multi-camera events for external distribution; consulted regularly with Creative Director and HR regarding job descriptions and new hires; recommended contractors, approved budgets, held one-on-ones with team members.
This position terminated when the team became self-sustaining based on the discipleship and mentoring I had given.
DP and editor on an award-winning, WFAA-TV syndicated program, Texas Country Reporter; traveled internationally as DP/editor for multi-camera extended interview segments in the syndicated program, Texans.
These were the three television photojournalist jobs I held while getting my degree.
Specialized in covering human interest stories and features for local newscasts; won various AP awards for series shooting and street news, was on Emmy-winning doc. unit in Florida and a regular contributor to CBS Evening News and regional news feeds CNN, NBC News Channel.
Graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Television; Business Minor; heavy art/design study as well; 3.5 GPA
Activities and Societies: worked for local TV stations as News Photojournalist during this time; did video projects for the University's in-house production co., VTN; did projects with the TTU School of Art's program called "TVonTV"
