As General Manager for the U.S. Communities, Kevin Juhring helps local governments engage in cooperative purchasing, thereby saving local governments time and money. Cooperative purchasing is extremely important to local governments and schools, which face severe budget cuts as a result of the recent economic downturn. Kevin Juhring oversees the program, its 50,000 participants, and its more than $1.5 billion in contract sales. Prior to his work with the U.S. Communities, Kevin Juhring worked for Office Depot. As the Director of State and Local Government Sales, he crafted strategies to help the company secure contracts with government entities to fulfill their office supply needs. Juhring helped Office Depot grow the state, local, and education division into the $1 billion business it is today by nurturing relationships with state and local governments and education organizations across the nation. It was this experience that made him an ideal candidate to lead the U.S. Communities. Kevin Juhring first distinguished himself professionally as a Branch Manager for Enterprise Rent-a-Car. He oversaw more than 20 employees and earned a place in the company’s Chairman’s Club. A graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Juhring earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1991. When not engrossed in his work for the U.S. Communities/Public Finance Authority, Juhring enjoys playing golf.
