A licensed Outpatient Therapist at Cape Counseling Services in Cape May Court House, New Jersey, Kevin Cook possesses nearly 20 years of experience in the therapeutic services field. Adapting his approach to meet the particular needs of individuals and families, he works well in high-pressure situations. At Cape Counseling and in other therapeutic settings, Kevin Cook has displayed leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff. His long-term goals include obtaining a doctorate in counseling education and sharing his varied experience with individuals entering the field.At Edinboro University in Pennsylvania, Mr. Cook excelled academically while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration. He also completed a Master of Education in Educational Psychology and a Master of Arts in Secondary Guidance Counseling at the institution while achieving top grades. Mr. Cook holds certification with the state of Pennsylvania as a secondary guidance counselor. He began his career in Pennsylvania as a Clinical Supervisor at Associates in Counseling and Child Guidance before becoming a Mobile Therapist at Northern Tier Counseling, Inc. In the latter capacity, Mr. Cook used his outpatient psychotherapy talents to inform treatment. In his next position, as Treatment Coordinator at Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems, he held responsibility for group, family, and individual therapy and supervised staff at an eight-bed residential facility.Kevin Cook returned to Associates in Counseling and Child Guidance for four years as Lead Mobile Therapist and Behavior Shaping Consultant and then served as Mobile Therapist and Behavior Shaping Consultant at The Achievement Center, with facilities in Pennsylvania and New York. Prior to his current post, he acted as Program Manager of Rainbow of Hope PCH for Cape Counseling Services in Woodbine, New Jersey, and became the Treatment Coordinator for the STRIDE program at Beacon Light. A member of the American Counseling Association, Mr. Cook also belongs to the Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge and the First Baptist Church of Anglesea.
