Kenneth Richard, is a strategic corporate leader with approximately 30 years of accounting, finance and tax structuring experience. As a business strategist as well as an accountant and financier, he brings his uncompromising passion for winning to the table everyday. Known for being a “Deal Junky”, he has played a principal role in the negotiation, documentation and closing of innumerable successful transactions. His track record comprises not only individual asset and portfolio acquisitions and dispositions but also includes the raising of over $175 million of private and public equity as well as a major structured debt arrangement that was critical to a $1.3 billion REIT go-private transaction. In addition to eight years of audit and consulting experience, six of which with Big-4 public accounting firms, he has over 21 years of leadership experience with a diverse mix of premier real estate investment and management companies. For most of his career, he has served as Chief Financial Officer, (CFO) at The Davis Companies, A.D. Makepeace Company, Berkshire Realty Holdings, The Beacon Companies and The Codman Company. He is a CPA and a graduate of Northeastern University, a husband and father to three children and, when time permits, enjoys a round of golf with his sons and friends.

Since its founding in 1976, The Davis Companies has acquired and developed approximately 100 properties, representing an investment of almost $2 billion. Included in its portfolio are the purchase and repositioning of the Boston Design Center in the Seaport District, the development of Charles River Plaza at the foot of Beacon Hill and the development of the 1.2 million square foot Reservoir Woods office park in Waltham, where the firm is currently constructing a new 312,000 square foot building that will serve as the US headquarters of National Grid. The firm recently was re-launched as The Davis Companies, following three years of doing business as Davis Marcus Partners.
