About Kenny Slaught

A real estate professional with 35 years of experience in Santa Barbara and surrounding California counties, Investec Real Estate Companies founder and president Kenny Slaught dedicates his efforts outside of his profession to supporting public institutions and benevolent organizations within the community where he works. Having earned a BA in business and economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, he has served on the UCSB Foundation Board of Trustees since 1995 and presently chairs the audit committee. As a board member of Storyteller Children’s Center for over 25 years, Kenny Slaught helps secure early educational services for children in Santa Barbara at risk or without a home. He also has been involved with the Dream Foundation since 1994, and as the organization’s current chairperson he guides its mission to fulfill the wishes of adults with a terminal condition.

Beyond his board memberships, Kenny Slaught supports the vibrancy of his community with donations to a diverse array of nonprofit organizations, including the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, the Goleta Valley Historical Society, and Lotusland, among others.

In his role as president of Investec, Mr. Slaught oversees a real estate firm with a property portfolio of $750 million and over 3 million square feet of residential, retail, and commercial property under management. Since founding the firm in 1983, he has directed investment strategy and led the firm to become the top comprehensive real estate company in Santa Barbara.
