Distinguished Seattle-area attorney Kenneth Brewe has been named a Super Lawyer 11 years running by the publication Washington Law & Politics, and he was chosen as one of the nation’s best family law attorneys in 2012 by Best Lawyers. Throughout his more than 30-year career, he has earned other distinctions, scoring a “superb” rating according to the legal site Also, Kenneth Brewe is rated AV (very high to preeminent) by Martindale-Hubbell, an indicator of excellence. Kenneth Brewe founded the origins of the Brewe Layman firm in 1979. Today, the practice provides service in the areas of business law, appeals, family law, mediation, personal injury, and estate planning. In addition to Kenneth Brewe, the practice group consists of six attorneys, as well as eight paralegals and administrative staff members. Kenneth Brewe concentrates on civil litigation and matrimonial law, with a particular focus on complex domestic matters involving marriage dissolution, property division, and significant estate-related matters. He regularly counsels clients in the area of estate and business law and frequently prepares prenuptial agreements. He also serves regularly as a mediator and arbitrator. A longtime Washington State resident, Kenneth Brewe obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and his law degree from the University of Puget Sound, which is now known as the Seattle University School of Law.
