Dr. Kenneth Zahl treats patients with chronic pain. Graduating with an A.B. in Physical Chemistry from New York University, Dr. Kenneth Zahl earned recognition as a Brown Scholar and winner of the Founders Day Award. Furthering his education, Dr. Kenneth Zahl attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, obtaining his M.D. with honors in chemistry, surgery, orthopedics, and anesthesiology in 1981. With a focus on the field of anesthesiology, Dr. Kenneth Zahl began his anesthesiology and pain management training at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School’s Department of Anesthesiology, becoming a respected faculty member.Dr. Kenneth Zahl currently serves as Director of Pocono Pain Clinic in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, where he creates outpatient treatment plans. Dr. Kenneth Zahl conducts complete pain medicine evaluations, offering a variety of treatment options, including Sympathetic Nerve Block, Epidural Anesthetic Block, Steroid Injection, or Selective Nerve Root Block (SNRB). With expertise in chronic pain management, Dr. Kenneth manages and treats a range of chronic pain symptoms. Dr. Kenneth Zahl achieved international acclaim for his skillful outpatient, regional, and ophthalmic anesthesia treatments for pain affecting the eye area. Recognizing the need for a holistic approach in the treatment of chronic pain, Dr. Kenneth Zahl coordinates patient aftercare with select medical professionals and paraprofessionals, including physical therapists, personal trainers, neurologists, surgeons, and primary care givers. I am a physician with over 20 years of experience in the field of anesthesiology and pain medicine. I achieved international recognition as an expert in outpatient anesthesia, regional and ophthalmic anesthesia. I then applied this training to the burgeoning field of pain medicine, mastering the latest techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain.

Private Pain Clinic. Treatment is done on an outpatient basis with the goal of reintegration into a normal life at home or return to work by coordinating the treatment with selected physical therapists, personal trainers, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, psychiatrists, psychologists and/or the family doctor.
