With well over two decades of experience in Spanish education, Kenneth Cushing now serves as Chair of the World Languages Department at Cardigan Mountain School. As head of the department, Ken Cushing supervises a group of seven instructors at the Canaan, New Hampshire, boarding school and has taken a leadership role in several of the school's other academic and development endeavors.Mr. Cushing served as the institution’s 2010-2011 Communications Standard Committee Chair and is now a member of the Strategic Planning Focus Group. In his role as a language educator, he coordinates cultural and linguistic trips for students to destinations such as Costa Rica and France and collaborated with Dartmouth College’s Rassias Foundation to implement the Rassias language instruction methodology at the school.Dedicated to providing enriching experiences to Cardigan Mountain’s students, Ken Cushing serves as a coordinator for the school’s annual wrestling tournament. He also coaches wrestling and has organized an annual game night for the students called “Monte Cardigan.” He continually strives to enhance his work and frequently takes part in professional development programs.
