Brookshire's Grocery Company

Assisted customers with checking out their groceries. This includes but is not limited to greeting the customers by name, knowing their preferences.  Remembering the codes for fruits, etc.  Getting them checked out in a timely manner.  Prior to being a cashier I was a courtesy clerk bagging and carrying out customer purchases. Assigned daily chores and facing the aisles to keep products in easy reach for customers.  In the last year, I have been assigned the task of arranging and setting up weekly displays.

Assisted customers in making their order choices, up selling as needed, fulfilled the orders  and returned them to the customers.  Operated a cash register to settle customer tabs.  This included using mental math as the registers did not tell you the change amounts.  Responsible for cleaning the restaurant during and after store hours to comply with health guidelines.

Completed all requirements and graduated from the Associated of Nursing Sciences program in May 2016.  While in college, I participated in clinical assignments as required.  This included but was not limited to classroom work and actual hands on training.

While a student at Springtown High School, I completed all curriculum to receive my high school diploma and graduated in 2010.  While in high school I was a teachers aide one semester and then an office aide the following semester of my senior year. The highlight of my senior year I was awarded student of the year by the principal.  The teachers aide positions included copying tests, running errands, etc.  The office aide position,  I had to collect attendance from the teachers and answered phones, etc.  I also had perfect attendance my freshman through junior years.

Certified through the State of Texas to perform hearing, vision and spinal examinations.

Texas Bureau of Alcohol Safety

Alcohol Sales License

In accordance with being employed by Brookshire's Grocery Company.  I am required to attend virtual classes and keep up my license in compliance with the state of Texas to be able to sale alcohol.  This includes checking identification of the person purchasing as well as rejecting sales if needed.

Attended and received my certification to perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation. 

Food Handlers Safety

Food Handler's Certification required studying and taking a test.  In proper sanitation and handling of food.



Farm Hand

Have assisted my parents in raising livestock since I was a small child.  This included feeding and watering animals and watching if animals get sick.  The farm is a 365 day operation.

Very goal oriented and organized.  Upon deciding on something that needs to be achieved.   I prepare for what needs to be done and organize tasks to accomplish that goal.

Can create and format documents using Microsoft Word.
