Currently graduating from GE's 100-year finance-focussed leadership program, the Financial Management Program. As I contemplate my options off-program, I find myself inclined towards the Banking & Finance sector with my increased exposure to hedging and foreign currency markets.
This 2-year rotational program seeks to develop budding analysts and future leaders in corporate finance, offering experience in a myriad of finance sub-functions such as Financial Planning & Analysis(FP&A), Controllership, and Treasury, amongst others.
My rotations in the program include the following:
Gained basic audit knowledge through the performance of completeness, accuracy and valuation assertion tests
Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) is a 2-year, trimester-based rotational program that is designed to provide on-the-job development, valuable hands-on experience across GE businesses and global opportunities to promote leadership development. Assignments on program range across comprehensive financial, digital technology, operational audits as well as projects, accelerating broad-based learning across domains.
My experience in CAS include the following:
GE Power - Grid & Gas Power Systems: Compliance and financial audit (balance sheet and project accounting)
GE Healthcare - Life Sciences & Healthcare Systems: Financial audit, and process improvement in Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO) modeling
GE Digital - IT Infrastructure: Project in organizational cost out and IT catalog simplification
