Summary

Currently graduating from GE's 100-year finance-focussed leadership program, the Financial Management Program. As I contemplate my options off-program, I find myself inclined towards the Banking & Finance sector with my increased exposure to hedging and foreign currency markets.

This 2-year rotational program seeks to develop budding analysts and future leaders in corporate finance, offering experience in a myriad of finance sub-functions such as Financial Planning & Analysis(FP&A), Controllership, and Treasury, amongst others.

My rotations in the program include the following:

  • Treasury, Healthcare, Singapore: Managed and proposed balance sheet hedging strategies for various legal entities in Asia, including China, India, Singapore and Korea
  • Financial Reporting, Corporate, USA: Owned the 'Operating Segments' portion of the regulatory SEC filings 10-K and 10-Q; worked with IT systems teams, aiding in the implementation of a new financial ERP
  • Operations Finance, Power, Singapore: Dissected costs impacting operating margin of the business and improved visibility of variable costs-resulting in $8MM potential cost opportunities
  • FP&A, Oil & Gas, Singapore: Analyzed base costs and created an automated template to track and analyze employee Travel costs
