The 21st century poses changing legal challenges to American society, and Keith Anthony McKenna, a Partner with McKenna McIlwain, LLP, has positioned himself and his law firm to assist clients in overcoming them. Improvements in technology are creating new concerns, especially with regard to privacy rights. In addition, the growing attention paid to environmental issues has made environmental law an increasingly important aspect of legal practice. Keith Anthony McKenna and his firm focus on these fields, among a handful of other areas.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Keith Anthony McKenna attended Seton Hall University, a Catholic institution with a reputation for academic excellence. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1986, he stayed at Seton Hall, enrolling in its School of Law and earning his Juris Doctor in 1989. He passed the bar exam and began practicing law later that same year.

In 2001, Keith Anthony McKenna and Timothy McIlwain established their partnership in Montclair, New Jersey. They shared a vision for championing the interests of clients in the face of new technologies, and McIlwain also brought valuable experience in the areas of sports and entertainment law. Keith Anthony McKenna’s training in accounting provides a solid foundation for the firm to take on banking and commercial clients. McKenna McIlwain, LLP, also pursues cases of professional malpractice.

In addition to serving the needs of his clients, Keith Anthony McKenna also attends to the needs of future generations. He sits on the Board of Directors of Oratory Preparatory School, a highly regarded Catholic boys’ school in Summit, New Jersey. He generously supports the Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child, also located in Summit. He donates a great deal of his time to the West Essex United Soccer Club, which he founded in 2005.
