Responsible for the daily corporate office business operations, which included but were not limited to, training and development for security staff and supervisors, the redesign and legal formatting of company forms, documents, post orders and memorandums and the oversight for all major accounts. I was also trained on client interaction and corporate account management. I was involved in the pre-employment application and interview processes, as well as the criminal background and drug testing procedures. In addition, I was a participant in the business growth meetings held by the Director of Marketing for new business prospects.

Corporate Manager - Loss Prevention

Senior Corporate Manager responsible for the protection of company assets, ranging from development and execution of shrink reduction programs, fraud and theft detection and investigations, monetary and merchandise recoveries, law enforcement and court liaison, L.P. training and development as well as oversight of all security auditing and inventory control issues. Responsible for inspecting and overseeing all merchandise security standards at the retail locations which utilize Alpha (Checkpoint), Vanguard, Sensormatic and M.T.I. anti-theft security devices. I was most recently in charge of the South Florida and Gulf Coast markets, with oversight over the entire company’s retail & non-retail locations in the continental U.S., as well as Puerto Rico and Canada.

  • Customer Service focus programs for sales associates, centered on deterring theft in the retail environment by providing customer service and maintaining visual observations on the sales floor.
  • I personally developed a Cashier / Management Fraud Prevention course for the company with the focus on counterfeit currency and credit card detection, check acceptance and till tapping.
  • Responsible for the implementation and companywide expansion of Access Control Systems for the South Florida Corporate Offices, B2B locations and the New York based Main Offices.
  • Responsible for the change-over to the 3VR (C.C.T.V.) systems and assisted with the retro-fitting and expansion throughout the company.

Corporate Manager - Asset Protection

Senior Corporate Manager responsible for the protection of company assets, ranging from fraud and theft detection and investigations, monetary and merchandise recoveries, law enforcement and court liaison, training and development as well as oversight of all security auditing and inventory. Developed and implemented the Loss Prevention Fraud Training Course, now required for all new hires in the support staff and cashier departments.

Designed and implemented all Loss Prevention department audit and report forms, currently in use by the company. Corporate law enforcement liaison for various agencies in South Florida for investigation follow up, special detail coordination at the retail locations and holiday detail coverage.

  • Developed and implemented the Loss Prevention Greeter program at all retail locations, used for deterring theft by customers, by merchandise and invoice verification. The first month in operation yielded over $8,000.00 in merchandise recoveries in just 3 locations in 1996.
  • Led the development, implementation and enforcement of most security policies and procedures currently in use by the company.
  • Project leader for the delivery and implementation of the police tactical towers at the North Miami and South Dade County Statistics showed a drop of over 95% in vehicle burglaries during the first year in service, as was provided by the local police departments covering those two locations.
