Assissted the Pharmacist, inventory, returning medications that were overstocked or out-of-date or expired, filling prescriptions, patient profile updates, prescription processing, prepackaging medications for group homes or long-term care facilities, receiving medications and maintaining a clean environment, compounding of gels, ointments, creams, and suspensions, taking prescription orders over the telephone from physician's offices, consulting with pharmacist for verification with certain aspects of prescriptions, maintaining patients' HIPAA rights.

Harper Creek High School

Excelled in Chemistry and Biology,  Enjoyed Spanish and Advanced Literature,  Favorite movie in Advanced Literature was "Romeo and Juliet" and "Arsenic and Old Lace".  4-Year Varsity swimmer and was an active member of the Hazeldon and Corp team (brought awareness to the student body of the effects of alcohol and drugs).  Accepted to the State Police Training Academy as a Student Trooper.  64 students accepted in the State of Michigan only 43 graduated.  This sparked my dream of becoming a State Trooper.  Was also a Police Explorer with the Battle Creek Police Department.

Pharmaceutical Calculations
To insure proper dosing according to physicians' orders.  To protect patient from receiving too little of a dose or too much of a dose of medication.  Calculations are authorized by the pharmacist to insure proper calcualtion is used.
Asceptic Techniques
To insure the sterility, absence of microorganisms, during compounding of any substance or mixture.  To insure cross contamination while performing task.  To insure the safety of self and other employees working in the environment.  Will be acquiring certification through the NPTA in Houston, TX in 2012.

In June of 2012 achieved goal to attend NPTA in Houston, TX completing additional training and obtaining certifications in Sterile compounding and Asceptic Technique, Non-sterile compounding, and Chemotherapy.

ACHIEVER:  Work gives life a sense of responsibility.  Use of equipment and tools enhances efficiency.  Diligence is rewarded. Through vivid examples, graphic illustrations, or useful materials allows knowledge to be passed on easily.  Reaching goals allows for even greater purpose.
