Entrusted by the Board of Directors to continue the vision at VMI of providing innovative engineering technologies of communications system integration and training services across multiple industries incuding military, law enforcement, and medical training facilities. Primary roles include leading business development to win the 2013 Humanitarian Assistance Program contract (multiple year, IDIQ with a 50M cap), and securing the JSOMTC 50M cap contract for training special operations forces in medical specialties in 2008. Duties in addition to business development and beyond presidential roles as the face of the company include federal compliance as the FSO (facility clearance officer with Secret Clearance). VMI is a medium sized business (D&B 3A1) and SBA award winning Prime Contractor that was founded in 1976.
Lead business development and managed the sales team at VMI in both the manufacturing and services divisions. Responsible for a 250% increase in manufacturing sales in 2007 equaling a 4M increase in sales revenue. In 2008, responsible for leading the proposal which secured the JSOMTC medical training center services contract for 22.5M with a cap of 50M.
Compliance Officer for DPAS, DCAA contract compliance for a defense service contract corporation with 150 employees. Reported directly to the CEO. Elected to the Board of Directors following my time as Compliance Officer up until 2010 when the company was sold. Revenue exceeded 50M/year at the time of my departure.
Following obtaining my law degree from the University of Kansas, I was recruited to direct the operations and compliance of a multi-state mortgage franchise firm that quickly expanded to more than 30 locations in the Midwest. From mortgage origination to FHA/VA guidelines and compliance with federal regulations, I was able to utilize my legal background in a diverse and growing parent company.
