I am a leader that likes to build a team, not just have a crew. I have taken a crew of seven different people, each doing their own job, but looking at the over all picture. This were good workers, but only wanted to do their job. I showed each of them why they were important to the over all operation. With this NEW info the crew became a team that worked as unit, helping each other out and improving production from 500 units per week to 750 units per day, within a year. By the third year we were doing 1500 units.
I devolped a tracking system so that in the event of needed recall we could recall the effected products, not a whole days run. When I started with the company the best that could be done was to recall the whole run, my system would allow me to track the product so that I could stop a problem and recall just the boxes that were effected. Never needing to look any farther than 180 units.
