Qualitative Evaluation
Harvard Division of Continuing Education Research Assistant   Analyze and decode data relevant to teaching and learning experiences at the Harvard School of Distance Education. Use decoded and evaluated data to suggest innovative solutions to minimize discrepancies in knowledge transcription both within and outside the framework of web or new-media traditional classroom. Observe how students from various cultural backgrounds react to and transcribe knowledge from educational podcasting and live classrooms and use data to help improve their experience.
Founder – President, MOP-ed An organization for the past, present and future students of the MOP Vaishnav College in Chennai, India. We organize various pep rallies, blood donation camps, self improvement workshops etc. aside from three formal meetings during the course of the year.   Across Borders ( Under construction) Currently working on a networking web-site to connect teachers from different countries. I am developing a medium where teachers can exchange ideas, curriculum and experiences. Crisis Management
Coordinated and organized several rehabilitation workshops post the 2004 Tsunami in Chennai, India. Part of several initiatives including food, clothes, shelter drives and charity fund-raisers. Member of the team that put together ‘What they need’ – a 12 minute documentary on how to give emotional support to Tsunami victims.
Capacity Development
Core member, Virgo Event Management – A for-profit venture with over a decade experience in grooming women and children through various skill-development workshops and events. Public-speaking, fitness, family health and hygiene, cancer awareness, AIDS awareness, rally for gender equality, fitness for pregnant women, basic nutrition are some of the most popular issues addressed. Head coordinator, V-Kids - A sister non-profit organization aimed at child development dealing with sensitive issues such as understanding physical and verbal abuse, post-tsunami stress, examination anxiety and peer pressure.

Enthusiasm and talent are two words that I associate with Kaavya Krishna, who I met first when she interviewed for the paper I work for.

I must add one more word, confidence, because when I spoke to her, she didn't come across the kind who had left college barely a few years ago.We spoke for about an hour, during which she came up with a lot of ideas that she wanted to work on; and what particularly impressed me was that she even pointed out areas where the paper could do better.
