I am a recent graduate of Muskingum University. I graduated with a Business major and a Speech Communication minor. I am interested in working in Direct or Outside Sales with a Professional Sports Franchise. I have worked at Kings Island Amusement Park in Cincinnati Ohio for the last seven years and have held a sales and marketing internship with the West Virginia Power the Single- A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. I have learned a lot about being a manager through my time at Kings Island and was taught a lot about Sales during my time with the West Virginia Power. I look forward to any opportunity that I may receive.
May 2003 - Present
During my time with Kings Island I have been consistently promoted and am now at the highest level that I can achieve while being part-time. I am now a Department Supervisor in the Food and Beverage Department. On a day to day basis I am in charge of seven stands; four out of the seven stands make above a million dollars a year with one stand over two-million. I also control labor costs, costs of sales and try to increase per capita. I am in charge of up to 100 associates a day and also help with promoting, demoting, hiring and firing of employees and assist in incentives. While going to school I would drive home from Muskingum University on the weekends to work at Kings Island and still be an active part in the day to day operations. Kings Island has taught me a lot about managing and how to run a major business. My time at Kings Island has taught me a great deal and will be a great asset to me when starting out in any business.

Sales/ Marketing Internship
West Virginia Power
I was an Intern for the West Virginia Power for the summer of 2008. During my time with the Power I spent most of my time with the Sales/Marketing/Promotions Department but I helped out in every aspect of the team and the stadium. I sold tickets for a boxing match that was held at the stadium, designed a new format for a community day that the park was having, helped coordinate with the Director of Promotions a promotion that brought the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders to the Ballpark, helped sell game day and season tickets, went to community organization meetings to help promote the team, helped with stadium maintenance, helped in setting up picnics and providing a great fan experience for every fan. This internship helped me a lot in learning about Sales in professional sports and further increases my desire to work in sales for a professional sports franchise.
