Los Angeles resident Kaypers Jackson plays an active role in his community as part of the Voices of 90037 Neighborhood Council. The council acts as a liaison between the City of Los Angeles and residents, business owners, and property owners in the area bounded by the 110 Freeway, Normandie Avenue, Martin Luther King Boulevard, and 62nd Street. Kaypers Jackson helps the council decide how to spend $45,000 in annual funds in order to advocate for the neighborhood’s residents.Furthermore, as a Managing Member of Normandy Park Properties, LLC, Kaypers Jackson develops commercial and residential properties in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. He also contributes to the Fort Valley State University Foundation, Inc., and volunteers with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, which distributed 60 million pounds of food to 1 million people in 2011. In his spare time, Jackson enjoys sports, movies and physical fitness activities. He travels internationally and has visited Africa three times.
