This ad, like the CD, was a complete creation of my own with the exception of the pictures and the logo. The goal of this assignment was to create an ad to attract people between the ages of 18 and 35 to San Francisco.
For this CD, I was given pictures to use and a list of songs. I found the measurements and designed the front and back covers accordingly. I even created the bar code on the back.
For this assignment, I did not need to write any copy (hence the Latin filler). I created a newsletter, designed the layout, edited the pictures and wrote the captions, headings and subheads.
This poster was part of a media kit used in a public relations campaign for a semester project. The media kit was aimed at the Spanish-speaking demographic in Atlantic City, where my fictional book publishing company for this assignment was based. The campaign was called "Reading Is the Key," and it was meant to get kids interested in reading.
For this assignment, I had to create a brochure for a fictitious bookstore. I designed the layout and logo, edited the pictures and wrote the copy, captions and subheads.
IUPTV is Indiana University of Pennsylvania's television station. I work on the game show "No-Brainer" as part of the technical crew. I operate cameras, manage the scoreboard and assist with the graphics and soundboard.
I manage the IUP Twitter account (@IUPedu), which means I write, schedule and reply to tweets. I also help maintain certain areas of the IUP website, specifically the "News and Events" page that is updated daily, and I assist in making the spreadsheets that document the popularity of IUP Facebook posts and news items.
Before becoming an assistant supervisor, I worked at this restaurant for five years as an expeditor, food runner and team leader. All these positions required me to be a team player and interact with guests. In my role as supervisor, I still make sure that food goes out in a timely fashion and that guests have everything they need, but I also handle money, fix schedules, clean tables, and play hostess.
