Transitioned into the role of a core, Registered Nurse,  at a busy freestanding emergency center. In this position adept clinical skills, knowledge, and ability are imperative. As the only Registered Nurse at the facility on any given shift, this position is highly dependent on a vast body of knowledge regarding  triage, legal initiatives (Cobra, EMTALA, Medical Screening Exams), and emergency medicine -- in addition to possessing a strong ability to preform as an emergency nurse in a traditional acute care setting.

• Achieved Board Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN)
•  First individual in MU Health Care System to obtain Board Certification in Pediatric Emergency Nursing (CPEN)
• Assisted with system-wide implementation of a completely paperless computerized system (CERNER)
• Chaired the commitee to streamline and improve ER and OB Triage processes and relations
• Participant in chart and case reviews for quality assurance and improvement

Travel Nurse (Emergency Room)
Travel Nurse in various emergency departments. 
Assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for a variety of patient populations in a safe and efficient manner.

• Worked in conjunction with nursing management to coordinate adequate unit staffing for the assigned shift.

Transitioned from a Graduate Nurse to an autonomous Registered Nurse in the emergency department. Became well- versed with a multitude of traumas, Level II trauma center (no other facility within a 40 mile radius)
