About me

Hi! My name is Katelyn and I'm a student a at Beaver Area High School. I'm heavily involved in the Music department at my school. From concert band, marching band, to choir and musical pit, music is a big part of my life. I have been apart of my high school swim team for three years and I was Girls team Captain last year. I love being with family and friends and having the time of my life. But there is one thing you may not notice about me but I have Achromatopsia. I am considered legally blind in the state of Pennsylvania. I've learned to overcome my struggles and I love to prove to others that I can do something.

Directors choice award

This award is presented to a middle school student a senior each year. I was honored to be awarded this my eighth grade year from my band director Mr. Scanga. I was awarded this because he could see my improvement and he enjoyed the smile I brought to class every day.

Team player award 

This award I was voted for by my fellow team mates on the 2013-2014 swim team.

The bobcat players
