As a reservations agent, I have a responsibility to all guests' reservation, from the booking process until guests' arrival. I have to manage all bookings come from travel agents or direct calls, input all details to system correctly along with special preferences. Besides, I also maintain bookings that made through website, for example charging the payment and bookings update. I am working with Opera Hotel System.
Besides managing bookings form, I also manage guests' inquiries sent to hotel website. By handle the inquiries, we could upgrade our hotel knowledge and could understand guests' position when they make a booking. We could have in touch with guests, even though by email or phone only.
Group handling is also a part of Reservations Agent's job desk. Pick up the group in system once it is definite, update the rooming list, and taking care until the group check out.
To provide best services and memorable stay to guests, we cannot work alone. We have to cooperate with other departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Restaurants, SPA, Call Center and etc. Doing good cooperation with other department is not only about the booking or guests need, but also our attitude and friendship relation to make comfort work environment.
