I am a lifelong educator with 11 years experience working with middle school and high school students in an independent private school environment as well as 15 years experience in higher education.  I am passionate about encouraging students, especially young girls and young women, to pursue careers in math and science. I have worked tirelessly to develop skepticism and scientific and mathematic literacy in my students by providing real world examples and allowing them to reach evidence-based conclusions.  My college teaching and independent school experience has provided me with many opportunities to develop new curricula, and I am constantly seeking new ways to help students develop critical thinking and research skills.
