Whilst working at Oakton on QlikView projects my duties include:

  • Conducting User Experience meetings with clients to create user stories and wireframe mock ups of QlikView applications
  • Design, development and deployment of QlikView applications, including Finance, HR and Healthcare management applications
  • Creation of QlikView standard operating procedures, best practices and templates to optimise project delivery
  • Collaboration with the client to ensure the project is delivered within the allocated time and budget utilising Agile methodologies. 
  • Work on tenders as QlikView technical lead and Health subject matter expert. This included estimating project delivery timelines, creation of QlikView proof-of-concepts, and presentations to clients

Business Intelligence Analyst

At the Ministry of Health my duties included:

  • Development and maintenance of several major QlikView Applications. This included developing the back end data model and providing input on the design of the front end Dashboards and reports
  • Design and development of multiple Financial Analysis dashboards in QlikView using a wide variety of data sources such as SQL server, SSAS Tabular and excel spreadsheets.
  • Management of the QlikView user base. This included working with the local IT Help desk to add new users to their active directory groups, creation of training videos and documentation, and running training sessions with users. 
  • Usage of SSIS, Excel and Microsoft SQL Server to run Extract – Transform – Load (ETL) packages to extract data from various data sources. 
  • Collaboration with multiple hospital departments to scope business requirements and identify cost drivers for costing projects. 
  • Liaising with Medical staff, Business managers and costing officers to coordinate the biannual data submissions.

In this role my duties included the following:

  • Requirement gathering, scoping, designing and construction of a SQL transactional database to store ticketing data.
  • Construction of an ETL system that transforms and migrates data from multiple sources into the above transactional database.
  • Construction of an OLAP Data warehouse to store customer journey information and allow easy analysis and financial modelling.
  • Documentation of the above systems that adheres to strict government technical documentation standards.

As a Facebook Digital Trader I traded across FMCG, Banking and Finance, and Tourism clients. My main duties included:

  • End to end management of client Facebook campaigns using both 3rd party API tools and Power Editor.
  • Creation of a standard dashboard template for quick and easy production of client reports.
  • Creation of detailed custom reports for clients that included specialised charts and tables. These reports often included VBA code to create detailed charts and dashboards.
  • Forecasting future rates based on extrapolations from previous campaign performance.
  • Advising clients on ad and audience type to best suit their campaign objectives.

During my time as a specialist at CEVA my primary role was the development of a system to interface with their new billing software, I did this by:

  • Liaising with staff to determine primary needs for software and developing use cases from these needs 
  • Planning and implementing a database to store all relational information originally stored in Excel spread sheets.
  • Creation of an Excel form that utilised VBA to interface with this database and the new billing software.
