National Sales Manager

Clear Channel Radio

The National Sales Manager position was eliminated on January 20, 2009. Prior to that I served in the role for almost 5 years with increasing responsibility. During that time, I established sales budgets with executable plans in order to exceed or meet revenue targets and achieve ancillary goals. As the National Sales Manager I served as the liaison from Clear Channel Las Vegas' cluster of radio stations for a team of 70+ account representatives in 17 regional offices. Our collective goal was to help develop and execute effective marketing and advertising opportunities for national accounts.I provided market analysis, including individual station information and competitor insight, along with inventory advice and pricing guidlines for the regional account reps. My ability to cultivate relationships with all levels of management and with people of varied backgrounds allowed me to penetrate agencies on a deeper and broader level, as well.Within my organization, I was recognized both by management and my peers as an excellent communicator with superior verbal and writing skills. As a result, I was tapped to proofread and improve internal and external pieces, including memos and speeches, press releases, and sales proposals and one-sheets. In addition, my input was requested in developing and writing corporate manuals and outlining local internal procedures in handbooks and guides. Most recently I was charged with and had begun streamlining, updating and upgrading all the sales materials that the sales staff and management use to create compelling presentations.

National Account Manager

Clear Channel Radio

My conscientious work as a local account executive was noticed and rewarded when I was promoted to National Account Executive. As the assistant to the National Sales Manager, I handled all day to day duties related to servicing national accounts and worked with every department within our organization to execute all facets of the client's needs. Client services included preparing rate cards and sales proposals, creating and executing sales promotions, as well as providing timely and cohesive promotion recaps. In addition, I ensured that our national clients' creative and branding messages were executed cleanly on air, which included interpreting traffic instructions, communicating with creative agencies and working internally with our continuity and production departments. This required great attention to detail and superior flexibility, as production times were often quick turnaround, with frequent changes and multiple, very specific sets of varying instructions.

Aug 2000 - Jan 2002

Account Executive, KWNR-FM

Clear Channel Radio

In August of 2000 my contributions and performance in the promotion department were recognized, and I was promoted to the local sales department as a mid-level seller for the top billing station in Las Vegas. My role as a local seller consisted mainly of prospecting and developing new business and increasing revenue on existing advertising accounts. In addition I prepared promotion and marketing plans to augment clients’ advertising campaigns. A high point of my career in local sales was my contribution to creating a new revenue driving promotion that the KWNR team still sells, most recently in 4Q 2011. In December 2001 I co-founded the annual Toys for Tickets campaign, sold sponsorships and worked with the promotion and programming departments to execute the successful toy drive for Southern Nevada charities including Child Haven, NV State Welfare Office, Children’s Advocacy Foundation and more.
