Textbook Sales/Other Sales

  • Directly responsible for the sales and marketing of entire high school textbook line in order to meet total company fiscal year sales goals in excess of $1.3 million dollars.
  • Develop sales goals and incentives for independent sales force.

  • Develop and deliver product presentations at high schools, conferences and other sales meetings.

Product Management & Development

  • Manage, create, and implement all marketing efforts for up to five high school & postsecondary textbook product lines including direct mail, advertising, telemarketing, e-marketing, and trade shows.
  • Facilitate market research projects for the development of new textbooks and textbook revisions, to include focus groups, online surveys, and industry scans and oversee these projects from design to inventory.
  • Organize logistics for all state textbook adoptions including textbook sampling, bid preparation, and attend and present at state adoption hearings.

Graphic Design/Advertising

  • Develop (includes copy, design, and layout) and/or manage print production of corporate identity, promotional brochures, advertisements/graphics, catalogs, and direct mail.
  • Manage advertising placement and maintain schedules of deadlines for publications.
  • Manage production of all marketing communications projects.

Trade Show Management

  • Supervise marketing assistant in the execution of a national trade show program­-up to 30 shows/yr.
  • Plan pre-show activities such as direct-mail and promotions or special events.
  • Conduct post-show evaluations and prepare quarterly reports including a budget analysis and ROI.
