Provide management to the Construction Services and Engineering team of 24 employees. Perform staff evaluations and conflict management. Track staffing hours worked through Kronos System. Coordinate safety training and continuing education. Delegate plant work orders to the appropriate staff members. Maintain and develop departmental policies and procedure manuals. Active team member of CMS Committee. Track and report all IDPH and CMS Plan of Corrections repairs. Manage capital projects during construction to ensure completed projects meet hospital's quality expectations. Facilitate corrective actions and necessary field changes with construction and engineering staff to ensure all necessary modifications meet hospital's expectations. Prepare, monitor and report on project schedules, project budgets, quality control, and inspection activities. Enter purchase order requisitions and coordinate deliveries of materials required for interior renovations and capital projects. Review all technical, bidding, request for payments and contract documents associated with capital projects to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission for administrative approval. Monitor contractors to ensure all proper OSHA standards and infectious control measures are adhered to during the construction project.

Construction involvement on various projects including interiors coordination of a $10.2 million 48,000 sq. ft. state of the art Imaging Center, a $4 million Trauma Unit Renovation, a Pediatric Surgical Heart Unit Expansion, the Human Resource Department Renovation, the Health Information Systems Renovation and the Main Lobby Renovation. Development and maintenance of facility standard finishes and furniture, with further development to be adopted as system wide standards program. 1999 - 2002 Chairman of Move Committee, which coordinates all moves within the facility. Committee to include Representatives from Information Systems, Telecommunications, Facilities, Equipment Processing Department, and Environmental Services. Implemented and maintained first successful asset management program within the system.
