Illustrator/Textile and Surface Designer/Artist

  • Designed commissioned art projects including:
    • grade-school level Spanish language alphabet for classroom use
    • pamphlets and cover art for various events, groups, and programs
    • fabric and paper designs for Coroflot-sponsored products
  • Designed personalized stationery, cards and invitations.
  • Submitted cartoons to The Washington Post Weather Gang, published on their blog.
  • Participated in the annual conference of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SBWI member).

  • Re-housed over 6000 Civil War photographs in the Mathew Brady collection, cross referencing them against the inventory in the Library of Congress.
  • Took charge of rehousing crumbling glass plate negatives of Heinrich Hoffman, Adolf Hitler's personal photographer; and coordinated with a German researcher to verify accuracy of caption translations.
  • Streamlined inventory processes of a large collection of World War II recordings on vinyl.
  • Provided research room staff with updated Finding Aids as well as standard assistance to researchers. 
  • Applied expertise in evaluating and selecting historical film reel segment for a DVD set on the history of natural disasters in the United States.

FICAM Tier III Integration and Support

  • Served as POC for the MyAccess/PIV team.
  • Served as Trusted Agent to the Registrar.
  • Demonstrated exemplary performance in addressing client issues and performing diplomatic damage control as a middleman in Tier 3 FAA Help Desk; earned commendation award.
  • Coordinated and scheduled integration meetings and information sharing between MyAccess engineers and application owners.
  • Communicated on a daily basis via written, verbal and face-to-face customer and colleague transactions.
  • Managed FAA master database of applications running on MyAccess security platform.
  • Produced Standard Operating Procedure documents, User Guides and video tutorials for all national FAA Help Desks.
