To Whom It May Concern:

<o:p></o:p>

As a dance enthusiast with over 21 years of experience in performance, choreography, instructing, costume design, scheduling, and management, I believe I fit your requirements perfectly, and my experience coordinates with the responsibilities of this job.

<o:p></o:p>

While attaining a bachelor’s degree in dance, teaching my own dance classes, and performing professionally, I acquired the knowledge needed to create and stage entertaining and eye-appealing dance pieces. In order to achieve my degree, I was taught the numerous aspects of choreography that make for an interesting piece, including space, dimensions, levels, and tempo changes. To graduate, I was required to become proficient in many styles of dance including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and musical theatre. While teaching over 16 classes a week at a local dance studio upon graduation, I received priceless experience practicing these styles and methods. Throughout my many years of involvement in the dance world, I have been told that I have an effective way of teaching choreography, whether it be my own or someone else’s, while focusing on performance qualities and cleanliness.

Currently, I perform professionally at the Walt Disney World Resorts. Here, I have gained invaluable knowledge on what it takes to operate a consistently entertaining, energized, and clean show from all aspects, including maintaining the choreography, preparing and setting the costumes for the performers, and regularly doing sound checks.I know the importance of giving constructive criticism to correct mistakes in a performance and know I can be a positive influence on the Princes Cruise’s cast of performers.

<o:p></o:p>

In the past, I successfully owned and operated a dancewear company. From this endeavor, I became proficient at designing specific costumes for specific themed numbers. Making sure the costumes were well taken care of and properly cleaned was also a requirement. Acting as the office manager, as well, I was responsible for keeping track of the inventory, working within a budget, and properly packing and shipping all items.

<o:p></o:p>

I also have over six years of experience working as an administrative assistant, most of which was at a University’s Dance and Theatre Department’s office. During this time I became very familiar with Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office, and am able to make PowerPoint presentations, Excel sheets, and documents using Word. I am extremely proficient at prioritizing tasks, multitasking, and working under pressure to meet deadlines. Every semester at the University, I was responsible for overseeing the completion of the master class schedule, which included making sure there were no overlapping classes assigned to the dance studios and that the correct teachers and start times were listed for each class.

My outgoing, fun, and creative personality would make me the perfect choice for Dance Project Coordinator with Princess Cruises. I would love to further discuss how I can contribute to your company. I can be reached at KaylieAB@gmail.com or (256)797-6079. I look forward to meeting with you.

Sincerely,
