Regional Brand Coordinator

Responsible for creating/designing or coordinating the design of all marketing/promotional campaigns in the retail sector.

  • Engineered the marketing strategy to create a complete horse feed line and marketed it like pet food.Presently, Evolution is currently known as one of the elite horse feeds in the Canadian equine market. Evolution.
  • Successfully re-branded a 15 year old product under the new name integri-T and in the process maintained a reasonable percentage of the past customers and also created a new niche market Integri-T.
  • Created and maintained an online social media presence using Barn Mice (a social media environment targeting horse owner) in order to develop closer relationships with customers as well as generate unsolicited customer references.
  • Implemented, controlled and maintained the integrity of the Purina brand identity within the organization and outside dealer network.Created and developed clean user files, purged all non-compliant materials and ensured both internal and external customers utilized authorized documents.
  • Designed, conceptualized and coordinated packaging designs through the national team.Investigated and assisted in sourcing an off-shore vendor that created and produced packaging options that far exceeded existing offerings while also achieving reduced costs to Purina.
  • Created on an ongoing basis retail marketing strategies for pet food and high end horse feeds (print advertising, trade shows/launches, direct sale promotions, in store POP material/displays etc.).At a minimum conducted a strategic marketing review of no less than three products per year.
  • Purchased all English media buying for over 10 unique market segments that predominantly included print but also radio.Tracked and maintained detailed records of all transactions and occurrences.
  • Managed and maintained all English web design/content both commercial and retail.Recorded site and search traffic increases by over 400% in the first year by properly implementing the use of meta-data and keywords.
  • Conducted preliminary research and prepared trademarks/trade names for legal search minimizing the professional legal fees.
  • Introduced a number of personal initiatives that positively influenced the team environment.

Desktop Publishing
I have been creating designs on desktop publishing software since 1992 shortly after the purchase of my first personal computer.  I have evolved with the software and remain current.  I have done page layout for a wide range range of printed material eg. packaging, magazines, posters, flyers, brochures, business cards, trade-show booths, banners, signage, vehicle graphics etc.
I have been taking pictures since I was in high school with a simple SLR.   Over the years I have learned what it takes to make a balanced composition.  I only consider myself an amateur photographer because I currently don't own the equipment to take professional photographs.
Adobe Photoshop
I have been using Adobe Photoshop since 1996 and with each release I continue to learn more.  Take a look at my portfolio above for a small sample of my work.



Mohawk College
