Management- Managed 5 professional full time managers. Managed 30 part time clerks.  Managed 2 part time professional staff in Graphics/PR Department (Sept 2015 - January 2017).

2nd in CommandFilled in for director when needed.  Attend all board meetings, keep up to date with staff and library system needs.  

Lead Programmer- Led and assisted librarians and programming clerks with needs to meet their programming goals. Developed programs for general public, teens, and adults. Including Summer and Winter Reading Programs.   

Developed and planned with team reading initiative programs including Summer and Winter Reading.

Summer Reading 2017:

Manager and facilitator of the Friday night Family Summer Bandstand Concert and Movie Series:  

Developed and implemented teen programs with Reference Librarian: Teen Library Council, Teen Nerf Gun Battles, Teen Book Battles, book clubs.    

Brought in presenters and speakers for programming; Local Author Series, assist and support Library Comic Con. 

Passive programming, i.e. puzzles, guessing games, interactive displays for public.

Acquisitions/Collection Development- Co-responsible for upkeep and purchasing materials for $250,000+ book budget  for teen and adult collection.  Overdrive digital book acquisitions for teen collection.  Database Acquisitions- Assisted in the addition of Ancestry Library Edition and NoveList databases for WPL community.

Volunteer Coordinator-  Placed volunteers with library departments, based on their skill sets and library/museum's needs, 100+ active volunteers working in the WPL system.  Facilitate yearly volunteer luncheon to show volunteers appreciation for their services.  

Friends of the Library Liaison.  Help coordinate book sale, work book sale, and meet Friend's needs to keep bi-annual sale successful. 

Nonprofit Network Committee- Collaborated with director and 20+nonprofit organizations to create nonprofit night for nonprofits to meet and mingle.  Evolved into volunteer fair to meet nonprofit organizations needs.  This is an annual event.

Outreach- Set up library booth and had presence at various local community events.  Crafts for community, as well as hand out library literature to promote library services. 

Newsletter Editor- Proofed and edited  monthly library newsletter for print and digital publication.

Social Media- One of the managers of the library's Facebook page  Edited and posted library programs and events. 

NIMP (Northern Indiana Mock Printz)- Cochair of 2016 Mock Printz Committee. Developed and created committee with librarian from South Bend, IN. Read, selected and discussed Printz Potential books, met and voted on 2016 Printz award books. Provided Learning Education Unit opportunities for professionals. 

ADA Compliance-  Made sure library was  ADA compliant. Relayed ADA compliance needs to director; i.e. helped create a sitting OPAC station for patrons.

Reference and Teen Services Librarian

Management- Manage clerks daily and distribute duties based on skill sets.  Train new employees Reference responsibilities, Polaris training, database training, and library

Programming- Developed WPL’s first ever Teen Library Council and created teen programs based on TLC’s ideas and suggestions. 

Found local talent and presenters to share their skills and expertise with the community.

Collaborate with Branch Librarian with creating and developing library programs.

Print and Digital Acquisitions/ Collection Development- Co-responsible for $250,000+ book budget.  Maintain collections and upkeep of materials in Adult and Young Adult Departments. Worked with director and IT department to develop online ‘Purchase Requests’ for patrons. 

Reference- Meet public's needs. Responsible for keeping research resources up-to- date.

Interlibrary Loan- Coordinate all interlibrary loans between WPL and Indiana Libraries.

Teen and Adult Services Librarian

Naperville Public Library

Reference- Bibliographic assistance, database assistance, and web assistance.

Reader's Advisory- Created booklists, book reviews, book displays, and offer patrons book suggestions.

Teen Services- Collaboratively worked with 2 Teen Service Librarians, Adult Services Supervisors and local teens TAGTeam (teen advisory group) to create and develop programming and teen events for 6-12 graders in the community. Programs included, but were not limited to; podcasting, an Annual Pizza Taste-Off, Annual Poetry Contest, Anime Club, Get Your Game On: Video Gaming, Hunger Games Fun and Challenge, Midsummer Night's Dance, and Kaplan SAT and ACT practice exams.

Website Team- Worked with a team of Librarians and TAGTeam members to develop website concepts and standards for the new NPL website. 

Summer Reading Volunteer Coordinator- Training and scheduling 80 teen volunteers for 8 weeks.    

Collection Development- Responsible for upkeep and weeding of Teen Materials Collection.

Illinois Library Association- Pizza Taste Off: Table Talk Panelist about Teen Programming.

Outreach- Visited 500+ Naperville Middle and High School students to encourage participation in the Summer Reading Program.

Teen Summer Reading- Developed program curriculum with NYS Summer Reading themes (2008 Metamorphosis @ Your Library, 2009 Express Yourself @ Your Library and 2010 Make a Wave @ Your Library). Met with Pearl River Chamber of Commerce for support with teen reading prizes and programming opportunities.

Children's Programming-video gaming programs, ice cream socials, 'Not so Scary Stories,' and subbing as needed for programs.

Adult Programming- Weekly Knit and Crochet program, Wii bowling for senior citizens, and Teen Tech Tutors.

Technology Implementation- One-on-one Adobe Illustrator lessons for librarians, developed and utilized Web 2.0 tools including Delicious and Blogger for the library, and taught librarians how to use Nintendo Wii and PS2 video gaming equipment.

Page Supervisor- Responsible for 12 library employees; scheduling, training, and interviewing

Promotional materials- Design posters, flyers, handouts with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.Developed Youtube page for teens and to thank local vendors for teen summer reading library support and to further enhance teen services:

Grant Writing - Awarded Poets & Writers grant for a creative writing program for teens 'Eating Poetry, Sipping Stories,' by author and poet Judith Rose.

Awarded Flip camera from RCLS grant.

Acquisitions and Collection Development- Responsible for entire YA collection; purchasing fiction and nonfiction and weeding materials for young adult collection.

Ramapo Catskill Library System 2010 Program of the Year Award recipient- Each year our 47 library consortium gives out one award for the 'best' youth services program. Our Teen Tech Tutor program was nominated by Pearl River's director and won.
