Staff Audio Electrical Engineer

Sony Electronics Inc.

Responsible for designing integrated audio systems used in a wide array of consumer electronic products. Design, evaluation, and tuning of audio systems including close interaction with component suppliers.

Acoustic enclosure co-design with speaker manufacturers, passive and active filter design, and DSP design and tuning. Responsible for all phases of projects including analyzing requirements, designing, developing, testing, modifying and evaluating passive components and integrated circuitry for consumer electronics.

Determine design approaches and parameters, test to establish operating data; conduct experimental tests and evaluate results. Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability, and  investigate, troubleshoot and resolve problems of a complex nature. Perform day-to-day work with little or no supervision and use discretion to determine how new assignments will be managed to meet organizational and corporate goals and objectives.   • Sound quality expert: Perform EQ / Sound tuning of OEM audio systems and proof of concept audio systems as well as design and implementation of two reference quality sound rooms
