Job description: A power specialist is capable to handle a complete budget to implement a complete Dc-power design if needed. The power specialist is responsible for the operational maintenance and expansion of -48v systems that are in use within Vodafone. These systems are; K3- , Fenix- and Actura power systems. Also the inverter systems and power management program is part of his job. Further more the power specialist is responsible for new made installations and the quality of all connections. He supervises contractors during projects and inspects all work for compliance with Vodafone and local standards.

The power specialist is responsible for the operational maintenance and expansion of –48v systems, integration of ups systems that are in use within Vodafone. Also power management program is part of this job. Further more the power specialist is responsible for new made installations and the quality of all connections. He supervises contractors during projects and inspects all work for compliance with Vodafone and local standards. Major responsibilities: • Needs to give every year a budget-review to implement new services. • Keeps regular contact with internal customers and external contractors • Gives professional advice/input before the introduction of new AC & DC power- and management systems. • Is responsible for the installation and coordination of power requirements of new elements, systems and updates. Gives updates to planning- and building departments. • Is capable of carrying out critical power jobs. • Is capable to do system- and acceptance tests. • Advises the direct manager concerning external contract requirements. • Works alone or in a small group on 2nd line support for incident problem management. • Supervises the power engineer in operational matters. • Tracks and corrects problems, and when needed contact contractors. • Plan, prepares and performs maintenance procedures. • Reports to management over the progress of problems, resource- and project planning, elevates the problem when needed. • Works frequently on location, work area in the Netherlands. • Carries out quality control, makes quality control- and performance documents and keeps them regularly updated. Responsibilities: • Determines the priority of projects (within the confines of the defined targets). • Delegates tasks. • Approves power installations and suggested planed work.
