Lead a great team of teachers in a small rural school. Highlights of the current year:

  • Deliver high school programming through Video Conferencing in conjunction with two other schools (Altario & Berry Creek)
  • Shifted staff meeting from once monthly to once weekly to focus on up to date communication and timely professional conversations
  • Students involved in a number of co-curricular field trips and activities including Skills Canada competitions and learning about theatre through Theatre Calgary and Rosebud Theatre
  • Applied for and received a $10,000 grant to implement a new woodworking shop for the school
  • Moving the staff from isolation towards interconnectedness through changes to meetings and the use of technology to collaborate with other teachers
  • With the two other principals established the “ABY Campus Days” during which we bring all students from the 3 schools together to learn and collaborate
  • Coach both the Sr. Boys Basketball team and started a Junior High Mixed Volleyball and Basketball team to encourage students to be active.
