I am a production and logistics manager that specializes in coordination, project management, and continuous process improvement. I perform my duties under minimal supervision and often under significant time pressures. My communication skills, patience, and multitasking abilities are what help keep over 1,300 parts of an aviation-training operation moving smoothly and efficiently. I have 9 1/2 years of experience in project and program management, operations management, customer service, and education with a record of steady and continuous advancement. I have spent nearly 5 years in a full-time management role, complemented by a MBA, formal project-management training in a PMI-registered program, a BS in Aerospace Engineering, and a background in aviation and classroom instruction. - Led a project team in a successful attempt to deploy a central-scheduling system. Result of this effort was an increase in scheduling frequency of 5-10%. - Adept at use of MS Project 2007 for scheduling of multiple work packages and coordination. - Wrote multiple proposals for IT upgrades in scheduling and curriculum management system. Used MS Visio 2007 to develop functional diagrams and flowcharts for work processes. - Initiated the development of a reportable database of nearly 20 spreadsheets in order to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Includes advanced use of MS Excel, including use of PivotTables and macros. - Developed operational plan for beginning-of-the-year scheduling process, resulting in a 100% increase in productivity during the first month of classes of the past 2 academic years. - Implemented a new scheduling process that took advantage of marginal, unused training time; resulted in improved customer service and a 15% increase in productivity on slower work days. - Improved customer service by identifying and eliminating a bottleneck, using a systems approach, for students at the end of flight courses. Result was a 75% reduction in delays due to increased check-pilot supply for use part-time, greatly improving customer service and productivity of instructional staff.

Training Manager
