Summary

Over the course of his career in mixed martial arts and the United States Military, Justin Nauling has maintained involvement in a vast array of professional, educational, and personal endeavors, attaining a high degree of achievement in each of his pursuits. Active on the competitive MMA circuit from 2002 through 2004, Mr. Nauling collected five wins and two losses during this period, all of which took place at Rage in the Cage events. Among his more notable victories, Justin Nauling worked established MMA fighter Gabe Rivas into an armbar submission in the first round, won a match by submission against Ray “Magical” Elbe in two rounds, and beat Allen Branson via unanimous decision at RITC 53. Of his two losses, one was against former WEC Lightweight champion Jamie Varner during RITC 49, a hard-fought armbar submission in the opening minute of the second round. Today Justin Nauling continues to practice MMA, with a focus on techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing. In addition, Mr. Nauling stays active through CrossFit training, running, and beach volleyball, playing the latter sport whenever possible. With a rich background in martial arts, Justin Nauling trained at the Arizona-based Brausa Academy and previously served as a Black Belt Instructor in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Other military roles held by Mr. Nauling include Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival, Small Arms Weapon Instructor and Range Coach, Marine Platoon Sergeant, and Navy VBSS. Educated at the University of Phoenix and the University of Maryland, Justin Nauling completed coursework in organizational security and management, among other subjects.
