A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Julie Anfinson, DDS, dedicates her career to the oral care of children and to the advancement of her field. Dr. Anfinson currently practices through Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in Scottsdale, Arizona, and also works on the staff of several area hospitals. In addition to treating patients in her practice, Dr. Anfinson serves as a member of the Council of Clinical Affairs Committee for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. A consultant to the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, she also evaluates and conducts site visits for dental practitioners applying for their licenses in oral conscious sedation. Julie Anfinson, DDS, comes to the practice of dentistry with a solid educational background. She holds a Master of Science in Dentistry degree from the Baylor College of Dentistry, with a specialization in Pediatric Dentistry, in addition to a general Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Between completion of her DDS degree and commencement of her MSD studies, Dr. Anfinson completed a pediatric dentistry residency at the Oklahoma Children's Medical Center. In her free time, Julie Anfinson, DDS, maintains an active and athletic lifestyle. An avid cyclist, she has completed three rides with the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, or RAGBRAI, a seven-day, cross-state bicycle ride. As a participant in the event, Dr. Anfinson cycled 68 miles per day with a total of 475 miles over the week-long tour. She also enjoys scuba diving, traveling, reading, and spending time with her three daughters.
