Crew Coach and Crew Team Administrator

  • Teach rowing and sculling skills as well as safety, equipment management and good sportsmanship to students participating in ASL Crew 
  • As one in a team of three head coaches under the direction of Stu Heap, help to design and implement training plans for both development and performance crews.
  • Develop and implement outing plans for water sessions on a day by day basis
  • Monitor progress, health and well being and give constant feedback through post outing debriefings, erg tests, video sessions and one on one discussions
  • Plan and prepare our students for head races and regattas, assess the competition and track results
  • Maintain and adjust equipment as needed including boats, oars, cox boxes, life jackets and other training equipment
  • Ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed at all times, including safe use of land equipment
  • Chaperone students to and from practice sessions and races on the bus
  • Maintain spreadsheets with relevant data on each student rower
  • Keep track of British Rowing Memberships and expiration dates as well as keep membership cards in a safe place
