I want to be part of the process that increases rigor and success not only in our school, but within our district through creative changes. I believe that we learn by doing, so I envision a successful classroom that is busy with collaborative conversations, problem solving activities, and student centered learning.

My vocation is to motivate students to continuously seek out opportunities to learn within and outside of the classroom.  I want to inspire them to ask questions regarding their everyday observations and constantly push themselves beyond their comfort zone to learn new skills and accept greater challenges without allowing the fear of failure to stop them.

I hope to increase Advanced Academic success by providing our teachers the resources and training to teach their students the learning skills necessary to succeed in Advanced/AP classes and score successfully on the AP exams. This will be accomplished through an organized summer program that can be accessed by the entire student population and through year long collaboration between all teachers who teach advanced academic courses.
