I am a well-rounded lifestyle-media professional with 14 years of media experience. I have had the opportunity of launching and spearheading both premium online and print properties, such as and L’Officiel India, arming me with valuable across-industry relationships and insights.  I am comfortable and adept at working across genres—having led magazines with varying focus—from lifestyle to fashion, home décor to parenting. My experience of having worked both in Mumbai and Delhi, liaising with global offices to bring licensed magazines ‘on-brand’, makes me a strong talent for launch projects and global projects. I specialise in the whole editorial gamut: setting up editorial teams, processes and practices for content generation across mediums (videos, blogs, websites and print), editorial direction, defining content strategy that influences business fortunes, developing  fruitful content partnerships, besides of course writing, editing, commissioning content, managing celebs and covers, budgets, client interactions and the like. I am currently heading the India chapters of two renowned international magazines--CHILD India and a décor title—Better Homes and Gardens, India, at Exposure Media marketing, a company of Hubert Burda Media India Pvt. Ltd.

Heading a friendly, non-preachy, 360 degree parenting magazine that combines international concepts and ideas of parenting with local wisdom is not really a job for a passionate parent like me.  Catering to the informational and emotional aspects of parenting from pre-birth to 7 years of age, from discipline to games to fashion, the magazine approaches parenthood as a stage to be smartly tackled and thoroughly celebrated, every day. And we bring the same energy into many affiliated events that the magazine has actively kick-started in the parenting segment.

Editor, L'Officiel India 

MaXposure Media Group India Pvt. Ltd.

L’Officiel India, a luxury fashion and lifestyle magazine, was launched in India in 2002 and went off stands in April 2013. MaXposure Media Group re-launched it in India with a September issue in 2013, with me at the helm of its affairs. Since then, I have put together 20 issues of this French style bible in India, embedding it with a refreshing blend of national and international fashion, happenings, glam nights and all things luxury. In my role as Editor, L’Officiel India, I led conceptualising and commissioning of content for each issue, in addition to spearheading cover shoots with celebrities, fashion and beauty shoots. I developed lasting relationships with A list celebs, celeb managers, creative professionals and top brand heads. Apart from just Indian talent, I actively worked with many international photographers and their teams, resulting in numerous fantastic fashion spreads shot across the world. I also led and managed online presence of the magazine, across social media properties. Additionally, I played a significant role in generating ad revenues by ideating and executing events for the magazine and by interfacing with important national and international brands. In all of this, I constantly worked towards catapulting the image of the magazine, creating potential long-term opportunities for the same.

India’s only magazine for Diabetics, Diabetic Living aims at 62.5 million Indians and their families who bravely live with diabetes every day. Working with a panel of doctors, I produced accurate, informative and life-saving content for diabetics in India.

I contributed towards the creation and the evolution of the brand, a portal that is all about maxing a real woman’s life, giving her informed choices and updated advice on how to live, look and feel her best. Associated with the website since its launch, my role here comprised ideation, editorial direction, content strategy, creation, and packaging, and working closely with clients to monetize the site. I actively led both the re-launches of post its birth, and I also handled the ideation and creation of content for mobile. The fashion and beauty sections were the main channels on the site and five or more fashion, style and beauty stories were uploaded every day. These sections, especially, enjoyed a very good page view score.

Headed the generation and packaging of content for BCWebwise' lifestyle portal and also edited content for a hair and beauty site that was hailed as one of the pioneering Indian beauty sites, launched at a time when the webworld was not crowded with fashion and beauty sites and blogs.

Achievements and recognitions

I am well connected in the fashion, interiors and the parenting/kids industry and have a good relationship with celebrities, media fraternity, brand heads etc. I am always a part of important  events and have been called upon to host, judge events and exhibitions by brands. For instance, I, along with Nishat Fatima-ex editor of Harper’s Bazaar, judged the DLF Emporio’s Rarest of Rare exhibition, choosing the best fashion exhibit from a gamut of designer and art pieces.

I Was chosen to represent the country at the Cannes Advertising Festival 2006 in the Young Creative category and have won awards at a National Level for my brand campaigns for Lux Provocateur and Nokia during my stint at Ogilvy in Mumbai. 


Juhi has been instrumental in relaunching L’Officiel in India. She has got the magazine pulsating with a French luxury vibe again, while amply covering the Indian fashion scene. Apart from producing great luxury and fashion content, she is also very hands on when it comes to leveraging her relationships for the commercial benefit of the magazine and company, even though that is not a part of her core responsibilities here. She has also helped the company in bagging other important projects and contracts and has been an asset for us.
